How the 10-team baseball double elimination bracket is built

10 is not a power of two, so the bracket is padded to 16 slots and the top 6 seeds skip round one with a bye. Everyone gets two lives: losers from the winners bracket drop into a 6-round losers bracket. The grand final is 18 games in, and if the losers-bracket finalist wins it a reset game is played, for 19 games in total.

First-round matchups

Standard seeding puts the strongest seed against the weakest: 8 v 9, 7 v 10. Seeds 1–6 wait for round two. List your teams strongest-first in the generator and the seeding is applied automatically.

How long does it take?

With 120-minute games, 19 games take about 38 hours on one diamond and 19 hours on two — but rounds can't overlap, so the last rounds always run one game at a time. Pro's scheduler enforces that ordering when it assigns dates, start times and diamonds.

Baseball rules that affect the schedule

Youth baseball games are usually 6 innings or a 90–120 minute time limit; adult leagues play 7 or 9 innings. Pitch-count rules make rest days between games important for arms.

Tie-breakers: Head-to-head, then runs allowed ratio, then run differential.

Organizer tip: Use the minimum-rest constraint (e.g. 2 days = 2880 minutes) to protect pitchers when teams have thin rotations.
