How the 16-team soccer single elimination bracket is built
16 is a power of two, so the bracket is full and nobody gets a bye. A champion is decided after 15 games in 4 rounds; add the optional 3rd-place match for one more game.
First-round matchups
Standard seeding puts the strongest seed against the weakest: 1 v 16, 8 v 9, 4 v 13, 5 v 12, 2 v 15, 7 v 10, 3 v 14, 6 v 11. List your teams strongest-first in the generator and the seeding is applied automatically.
How long does it take?
With 75-minute games, 15 games take about 18.8 hours on one field and 9.4 hours on two — but rounds can't overlap, so the last rounds always run one game at a time. Pro's scheduler enforces that ordering when it assigns dates, start times and fields.
Soccer rules that affect the schedule
Adult recreational soccer commonly plays two 30–35 minute halves; youth ages play shorter halves. Draws are normal in league play, so the standard 3-1-0 points system applies.
Tie-breakers: Points, then goal difference, then goals scored, then head-to-head (FIFA-style ordering; many local leagues use head-to-head first).
Organizer tip: Rotate which teams get the late-evening kickoff so the same club is not always playing under lights.
