How the 4-team softball single elimination bracket is built
4 is a power of two, so the bracket is full and nobody gets a bye. A champion is decided after 3 games in 2 rounds; add the optional 3rd-place match for one more game.
First-round matchups
Standard seeding puts the strongest seed against the weakest: 1 v 4, 2 v 3. List your teams strongest-first in the generator and the seeding is applied automatically.
How long does it take?
With 75-minute games, 3 games take about 3.8 hours on one diamond and 1.9 hours on two — but rounds can't overlap, so the last rounds always run one game at a time. Pro's scheduler enforces that ordering when it assigns dates, start times and diamonds.
Softball rules that affect the schedule
Slow-pitch softball is typically 7 innings or a 60–65 minute time limit with a mercy rule (e.g. 10 runs after 5 innings). Weeknight leagues stack 2–3 games per diamond.
Tie-breakers: Head-to-head, then runs allowed (not runs scored, to discourage running up scores), then coin flip.
Organizer tip: Double-headers are popular: set the per-team daily limit to 2 with 0 minutes rest if teams play back-to-back on the same diamond.
