How the 10-team volleyball single elimination bracket is built
10 is not a power of two, so the bracket is padded to 16 slots and the top 6 seeds skip round one with a bye. A champion is decided after 9 games in 4 rounds; add the optional 3rd-place match for one more game.
First-round matchups
Standard seeding puts the strongest seed against the weakest: 8 v 9, 7 v 10. Seeds 1–6 wait for round two. List your teams strongest-first in the generator and the seeding is applied automatically.
How long does it take?
With 60-minute games, 9 games take about 9 hours on one court and 4.5 hours on two — but rounds can't overlap, so the last rounds always run one game at a time. Pro's scheduler enforces that ordering when it assigns dates, start times and courts.
Volleyball rules that affect the schedule
League volleyball is best-of-3 or best-of-5 sets to 25 (15 in the deciding set). Matches cannot end in a tie, and many leagues also track set ratio.
Tie-breakers: Match wins, then set ratio (sets won ÷ sets lost), then point ratio, then head-to-head.
Organizer tip: With multiple courts in one gym, stagger start times by 15 minutes so warm-ups do not collide.
