How a 6-team darts round robin works
Every team plays each of the other 5 teams once, which is 15 games in total. With an even number of teams every team plays in every round, so the whole schedule fits in 5 rounds with no byes. A double round robin (home and away) doubles that to 30 games over 10 rounds.
Round 1 pairings
The generator uses the circle method, which guarantees each pair meets exactly once. For 6 teams seeded 1–6, round 1 is: 1 v 6, 5 v 2, 3 v 4. Home and away alternate so no team is stuck with all away games.
How long does it take?
Using 30-minute darts slots, 15 games need about 7.5 hours on one board, 3.8 hours on two, or 1.9 hours on four. A weekly league playing one round per week runs 5 weeks. Pro's scheduler turns those numbers into actual dates, start times and boards, honouring rest gaps and games-per-day limits.
Darts rules that affect the schedule
Pub darts leagues play best-of-3 or best-of-5 legs of 501. Round robins are common for weekly leagues; knockout cups use single elimination.
Tie-breakers: Wins, then leg difference, then head-to-head.
Organizer tip: Use 30-minute slots and one field per board.
