How the 6-team esports double elimination bracket is built

6 is not a power of two, so the bracket is padded to 8 slots and the top 2 seeds skip round one with a bye. Everyone gets two lives: losers from the winners bracket drop into a 4-round losers bracket. The grand final is 10 games in, and if the losers-bracket finalist wins it a reset game is played, for 11 games in total.

First-round matchups

Standard seeding puts the strongest seed against the weakest: 4 v 5, 3 v 6. Seeds 1–2 wait for round two. List your teams strongest-first in the generator and the seeding is applied automatically.

How long does it take?

With 45-minute games, 11 games take about 8.3 hours on one station and 4.1 hours on two — but rounds can't overlap, so the last rounds always run one game at a time. Pro's scheduler enforces that ordering when it assigns dates, start times and stations.

Esports rules that affect the schedule

Online tournaments commonly run best-of-1 group stages and best-of-3 playoffs. Double elimination is the community standard for fighting games and many shooters; single elimination for one-day opens.

Tie-breakers: Match wins, then map/game differential, then head-to-head, then seeding.

Organizer tip: Use the double-elimination format with the bracket reset enabled — players expect a grand final reset if the losers-bracket team wins.
