How a 6-team esports round robin works
Every team plays each of the other 5 teams once, which is 15 games in total. With an even number of teams every team plays in every round, so the whole schedule fits in 5 rounds with no byes. A double round robin (home and away) doubles that to 30 games over 10 rounds.
Round 1 pairings
The generator uses the circle method, which guarantees each pair meets exactly once. For 6 teams seeded 1–6, round 1 is: 1 v 6, 5 v 2, 3 v 4. Home and away alternate so no team is stuck with all away games.
How long does it take?
Using 45-minute esports slots, 15 games need about 11.3 hours on one station, 5.6 hours on two, or 2.8 hours on four. A weekly league playing one round per week runs 5 weeks. Pro's scheduler turns those numbers into actual dates, start times and stations, honouring rest gaps and games-per-day limits.
Esports rules that affect the schedule
Online tournaments commonly run best-of-1 group stages and best-of-3 playoffs. Double elimination is the community standard for fighting games and many shooters; single elimination for one-day opens.
Tie-breakers: Match wins, then map/game differential, then head-to-head, then seeding.
Organizer tip: Use the double-elimination format with the bracket reset enabled — players expect a grand final reset if the losers-bracket team wins.
