How the 12-team flag football double elimination bracket is built

12 is not a power of two, so the bracket is padded to 16 slots and the top 4 seeds skip round one with a bye. Everyone gets two lives: losers from the winners bracket drop into a 6-round losers bracket. The grand final is 22 games in, and if the losers-bracket finalist wins it a reset game is played, for 23 games in total.

First-round matchups

Standard seeding puts the strongest seed against the weakest: 8 v 9, 5 v 12, 7 v 10, 6 v 11. Seeds 1–4 wait for round two. List your teams strongest-first in the generator and the seeding is applied automatically.

How long does it take?

With 60-minute games, 23 games take about 23 hours on one field and 11.5 hours on two — but rounds can't overlap, so the last rounds always run one game at a time. Pro's scheduler enforces that ordering when it assigns dates, start times and fields.

Flag Football rules that affect the schedule

Flag football games run two 20–25 minute halves. Many leagues split one full-size field into two flag fields, doubling capacity.

Tie-breakers: Head-to-head, then point differential, then points allowed.

Organizer tip: If you split a field, list each half as its own field (e.g. "Field 1A", "Field 1B") so the scheduler can use both.
