How the 12-team soccer double elimination bracket is built
12 is not a power of two, so the bracket is padded to 16 slots and the top 4 seeds skip round one with a bye. Everyone gets two lives: losers from the winners bracket drop into a 6-round losers bracket. The grand final is 22 games in, and if the losers-bracket finalist wins it a reset game is played, for 23 games in total.
First-round matchups
Standard seeding puts the strongest seed against the weakest: 8 v 9, 5 v 12, 7 v 10, 6 v 11. Seeds 1–4 wait for round two. List your teams strongest-first in the generator and the seeding is applied automatically.
How long does it take?
With 75-minute games, 23 games take about 28.8 hours on one field and 14.4 hours on two — but rounds can't overlap, so the last rounds always run one game at a time. Pro's scheduler enforces that ordering when it assigns dates, start times and fields.
Soccer rules that affect the schedule
Adult recreational soccer commonly plays two 30–35 minute halves; youth ages play shorter halves. Draws are normal in league play, so the standard 3-1-0 points system applies.
Tie-breakers: Points, then goal difference, then goals scored, then head-to-head (FIFA-style ordering; many local leagues use head-to-head first).
Organizer tip: Rotate which teams get the late-evening kickoff so the same club is not always playing under lights.
