How a 8-team kickball round robin works
Every team plays each of the other 7 teams once, which is 28 games in total. With an even number of teams every team plays in every round, so the whole schedule fits in 7 rounds with no byes. A double round robin (home and away) doubles that to 56 games over 14 rounds.
Round 1 pairings
The generator uses the circle method, which guarantees each pair meets exactly once. For 8 teams seeded 1–8, round 1 is: 1 v 8, 7 v 2, 3 v 6, 5 v 4. Home and away alternate so no team is stuck with all away games.
How long does it take?
Using 60-minute kickball slots, 28 games need about 28 hours on one field, 14 hours on two, or 7 hours on four. A weekly league playing one round per week runs 7 weeks. Pro's scheduler turns those numbers into actual dates, start times and fields, honouring rest gaps and games-per-day limits.
Kickball rules that affect the schedule
Social kickball games run 5–7 innings or a 50-minute cap. Ties are usually allowed in the regular season and settled with an extra inning in playoffs.
Tie-breakers: Head-to-head, then run differential, then runs scored.
Organizer tip: Social leagues care most about even bar time afterwards — keep games per team per day at 1 unless the league asks for double-headers.
