How a 16-team kickball round robin works
Every team plays each of the other 15 teams once, which is 120 games in total. With an even number of teams every team plays in every round, so the whole schedule fits in 15 rounds with no byes. A double round robin (home and away) doubles that to 240 games over 30 rounds.
Round 1 pairings
The generator uses the circle method, which guarantees each pair meets exactly once. For 16 teams seeded 1–16, round 1 is: 1 v 16, 15 v 2, 3 v 14, 13 v 4, 5 v 12, 11 v 6, 7 v 10, 9 v 8. Home and away alternate so no team is stuck with all away games.
How long does it take?
Using 60-minute kickball slots, 120 games need about 120 hours on one field, 60 hours on two, or 30 hours on four. A weekly league playing one round per week runs 15 weeks. Pro's scheduler turns those numbers into actual dates, start times and fields, honouring rest gaps and games-per-day limits.
Kickball rules that affect the schedule
Social kickball games run 5–7 innings or a 50-minute cap. Ties are usually allowed in the regular season and settled with an extra inning in playoffs.
Tie-breakers: Head-to-head, then run differential, then runs scored.
Organizer tip: Social leagues care most about even bar time afterwards — keep games per team per day at 1 unless the league asks for double-headers.
